McRae leaves hospital and Corsica.

Ford rally driver Colin McRae is understood to have been discharged from hospital following his big accident on SS10 of the Corsica Rally.

The Scot was trapped for approximately 40 minutes in the remains of his Focus WRC after leaving the road and hitting a tree on the fourth scheduled stage of the second day. Although co-driver Nicky Grist was reportedly unhurt, McRae had lapsed into unconsciousness before the medical workers arrived, and had to be cut from the car before being air-lifted to hospital.
