PCWRC: Medeghini seeks points in Wales.

Kome Sport duo, Angelo and Barbara Medeghini have vowed to do their best to finish in the points on the Wales Rally GB this weekend - the sixth round in the Production Car World Rally Championship.

Speaking following the shakedown Thursday, Medgehini added that while it will be a tough event, having taken in the Rally Finland last month should help, following their decision to switch from a Lancer to an Impreza.

"The experience we acquired during a tough rally such as Rally Finland and the good result obtained, are going to be very useful for this coming rally," confirmed Angelo.

"During summer we did some more tests in order to prepare the car and the results so far have been quite good."

Medeghini has only taken in the Rally GB once to date, back in 1997, finishing tenth overall. On the Rally Finland last month they finished third in the Group N class - and 19th overall.

"This is going to be another difficult race on gravel," continued Angelo, who lies fifth in the PCWRC standings. "We have entered it only once - in 1997 and at that time the race was held in November with completely different weather conditions. It is an important rally and we'll do our best to get points for the championship."
