Sebastien Loeb's co-driver, Daniel Elena has held up his hands and confirmed he was responsible for the 'bonnet incident' on day one in Sweden, which resulted in them getting a 10-second penalty.

"Okay, it was my fault with the bonnet," Elena noted in the post-event press conference. "When you change the wheel and take off the lightpod, there's a lot to do.
"Seb was changing the wheel, I was taking the jack and cleaning the screen, I completely forget to pin the bonnet. After 100 metres, the bonnet came open and through the windscreen. It was not possible to close the bonnet, then Seb came to try and help me. In the end we got a 10 second penalty, but it's my responsibility."
As for how they are finding their new team this year, Elena added that Kronos Racing compare very well to Citroen Sport, despite the fact they are a much smaller operation.
"It's a very good team with good motivation," he continued. "The mechanics, engineers and the boss push for the maximum and the car - we have no problem in Monte or Sweden. Every time we had to go to the mechanics, after we went off in Monte Carlo or after today and my er... when they have to change the bonnet and windscreen here, they change it in time. It's a very good team."
