Live updates from the second day of the first WorldSBK preseason test of 2025 in Jerez.

The 2025 World Superbike Championship preseason continues today with the second day of the Jerez test.

Nicolo Bulega was fastest on the opening day for Ducati, who locked out the top-three thanks to Andrea Iannone and Scott Redding.

Toprak Razgatlioglu and Iker Lecuona are out of this week's test due to injury.

17:03

That's the end of the day in Jerez, and the end of this two-day WorldSBK test. Jonathan Rea ends fastest ahead of Xavi Vierge and Yari Montella. Full results to follow.

16:28

We're into the final half-an-hour of this Jerez Test now, and still no changes on the timesheets compared to a couple of hours ago. Rea still leads from Vierge and Montella.

16:22

Scott Redding is on track, but otherwise it's a very quiet afternoon. Just over half an hour to go.

14:28

Times are continuing to fall this afternoon. Rea is down to a 1:53.058 now, but Xavi Vierge and Yari Montella are both also in the 1:53s now.

13:46

Rea has improved his time at the top - he's almost a second clear of Montella now with a 1:54.051.

11:37

There's been a crash for Garrett Gerloff, rider reportedly okay and his bike is back in the pits.

11:21

We currently have a rare Jonathan Rea 1-2 at the moment. His 1:54.433 is still the fastest time of the day so far, but he's backed it up with a 1:54.719 on his second bike to lock out the top two positions for the moment.

10:54

Jonathan Rea to the top now on a 1:54.433, half-a-second ahead of Yari Montella - the rookie's first outing on a Superbike on the wet.

10:40

While the conditions aren't improving, the lap times have. Axel Bassani is now fastest on a 1:55.228.

10:37

Well, it's certainly not in between conditions anymore!

10:25

Locatelli had gone out on wets and set a 1:59.213, but has crashed at turn one on his second flying lap.

10:24

Some more riders have headed out now - Jonathan Rea, Andrea Locatelli, and Garrett Gerloff, but it's still Reiterberger fastest for now with that 1:57.601.

09:59

We finally have our first times on the board, with both BMW test riders heading out. Markus Reiterberger is fastest for the moment on a 1:57.601, and Sylvain Guintoli is second-fastest on a 2:01.707.

So, just the 20 or so seconds off the pace of yesterday's dry weather running.

09:23

We're still without a time on the board yet this morning. Track conditions are in between wet and dry, meaning no one wants to go out and waste tyres and risk a crash in unrepresentative conditions.

09:03

The session has just gone green in Jerez, but with conditions fairly fresh it might take a few minutes for most of the riders to begin filtering out.

09:01

Welcome back to the Jerez WorldSBK test, the first of the 2025 calendar year, for the second and final day of action at the Andalusian venue.

Nicolo Bulega was fastest on day one, ahead of Ansdrea Iannone and Scott Redding.
