More shuffles as Liberty drops Berger

Effenbert Liberty Racing will complete the 2012 World Superbike Championship season with not one of the three riders it began the year with after announcing Maxime Berger has been dropped from its team.
The Frenchman was the only remaining member of Effenbert Liberty's original three rider line-up after Sylvain Guintoli was dropped ahead of Brno and Jakub Smrz was released at the Nurburgring, but with two events of the 2012 season still to go, Berger is also out of the team.
Citing a 'breach of contract' in its statement, Effenbert Liberty will now complete the final two rounds with Brett McCormick, who came into the team from the second round before taking a lengthy period out throughout injury, and Lorenzo Lanzi, who replaced Smrz at the Nurburgring.
Following a solid debut WSBK season with Supersonic Ducati in 2011, Berger switched to Effenbert Liberty Ducati for 2012 and has thus far notched up a best finish of fifth at Silverstone.
