Aragon ‘one of the most difficult for me’, but Redding fastest

Scott Redding completes MotorLand Aragon WorldSBK test fastest ahead of team-mate Michael Ruben-RInaldi. 

Participation at the two-day test was heavily dominated by Ducati and Yamaha, as both manufacturers had five bikes in action, while Kawasaki, BMW and Honda were not involved. 

It’s been a busy month for the Aruba.it Ducati team, with Redding getting ample testing aboard his Ducati V4 R Panigale at Misano, Barcelona and now Aragon. 

During that time it’s given Redding plenty of opportunities to make improvements as he looks to become the first rider not named Jonathan Rea to win the WorldSBK championship since 2015. 

"I'm very satisfied with the improvements we were able to make with the bike, especially during the middle part of today," said Redding. 

"I felt comfortable with the race tyre and I have to say that I had a good feeling also with the soft one, which I struggled with last year here in Aragon. 

"With the qualifying tyre, I made a good time and this makes me very happy because I consider this circuit one of the most difficult for me. 

"It hasn't been an easy couple of days, but the team as always, has done a great job to find solutions to the problems that have arisen."

Redding and Rinaldi completed 86 and 88 laps respectively over the two days, ahead of the season opener which is also at MotorLand Aragon on May 2nd.
