Dominique Aegerter was second fastest ahead of Federico Caricasulo. The first non Yamaha rider was Niki Tuuli on the MV Agusta in sixth.

Aegerter is the new WorldSSP championship leader after claiming his second win of the 2021 season.

The Swiss former Moto2 rider converted his Misano pole into victory following a maiden series win during race in Estoril.

Local home rider Luca Bernardi took second place ahead of three-time winner in 2021 so far Steven Odendaal.
