Jules Cluzel has taken pole position in Thailand as less than one-tenth of a second splits the front row starters.

The GMT94 Yamaha rider stormed to pole with a 1m 36.826s but was just 0.029s ahead of Randy Krummenacher and 0.089s in front of Federico Caricasulo which saw both Bardahl Evan Bros Yamaha riders on to the front row.

Hikari Okubo led the Puccetti Kawasaki charge against the all-Yamaha top three one-tenth ahead of Raffaelle De Rosa who continues to impress on the aging MV Agusta.

World Supersport rookie Isaac Vinales impressed with sixth place on the Kallio Racing Yamaha ahead of team-mate Thomas Gradinger with fellow former Grand Prix rider Hector Barbera taking eighth place for Team Toth Yamaha.

Former World Supersport champion Lucas Mahias rounds out row three on the Puccetti Kawasaki ahead of Ayrton Badovini (Pedercini Kawasaki), Hannes Soomer (Racedays Honda) and Jules Danilo (CIA Landlords Insurance Honda).
