Gamble dominates reverse grid Knockhill race

Amigos Team Parker's George Gamble has dominated the second reverse grid Porsche Carrera Cup GB race to take his second victory of 2018 at Knockhill.

With the conditions continuing to deteriorate at Knockhill, the second race of the day started under safety car conditions. It wasn't until lap-five when the 19-car field could be released to start the race proper.

From that moment onwards, Gamble immediately began to establish clean air between himself and the chasing pack, led by Slidesports Engineering's Tio Ellinas.

Following a masterful performance in the treacherous conditions, Gamble cruised over the line to take his second win of the year by over eight-seconds ahead of race one winner Dan Harper.

Ellinas held second for the vast majority of the race, but lap after lap of pressure from Harper finally took its toll on the former F1 test-driver after the JTR driver forced Ellinas into an error on the final lap of the race.

Ellinas slipped off the track at Duffus dip, which handed the position to Harper. The Slidesports Engineering driver regained his composure to secure third position ahead of championship leader Dino Zamparelli in fourth.

Lewis Plato held off Tom Wrigley for fifth, while Seb Perez took a comfortable Pro-Am category win ahead of Motorbase Performance's Dan Vaughn in seventh and eighth overall.

Peter Mangion took yet another Am class win, this time ahead of Ian Dockerill in second.
