BTC Racing's Josh Cook has moved back up to third in the British Touring Car Championship standings after clinching his third win of the season at Thruxton in race two.
Cook started the second race from fourth on the grid, but profited from a poor start from Honda counterpart Dan Cammish to immediately slot in behind the two race leaders in third position.
With AmD Tuning's Sam Tordoff leading the early stages of the race on full ballast, with the Mercedes A-Class of Adam Morgan giving chase in second, Cook quickly looked the strongest of the leading trio and subsequently pressed home his pace advantage after making the race winning move at the end of lap four.
Cook picked up the perfect the slipstream from Tordoff and Morgan to leap ahead of the pair on the back straight heading towards the final chicane.
Once the move was completed Cook and Morgan wasted no time in establishing clear air at the front of the field, while Tordoff fell further back into the clutches of the chasing.
As the race progressed, Tordoff looked more and more vulnerable on full ballast and Honda driver eventually slipped down a tenth place finish, while Cook crossed the line 1.9s ahead of Morgan in second.
A further eight-seconds behind the race winner, Honda's Matt Neal performed a magnificent last gasp move to snatch a podium result away from Team BMW's Tom Oliphant right on the line.
The three-time champion took third by just 0.080s ahead of Oliphant, while Cammish recovered from his sluggish start to salvage a top-five finish in fifth.
Power Maxed Racing's Rob Collard secured a second consecutive sixth place finish and will start race three from pole position after his finishing position was pulled out in the reverse grid draw.
BMW Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan took a weekend best finish of seventh, as Tom Ingram, Colin Turkington and Sam Tordoff completed the remaining top-ten positions in eighth, ninth and tenth.
