During December we decided to ask you who you thought was the top Formula One driver of all time - and you voted in your thousands to decide a winner.
In the end, it became a two horse race between two of the most talented drivers the world has ever seen, one the most successful F1 driver to have ever lived and the other the man who many believe would have stopped his domination of the sport and you voted Ayrton Senna - the three time World Champion before his death at Imola in 1994 - as your number one.

In the end, it became a two horse race between two of the most talented drivers the world has ever seen, one the most successful F1 driver to have ever lived and the other the man who many believe would have stopped his domination of the sport and you voted Ayrton Senna - the three time World Champion before his death at Imola in 1994 - as your number one.
With nearly 24,000 of you deciding to vote, Senna collected over 40% of the votes to finish ahead of Michael Schumacher - the seven time champion finishing in an unfamiliar second place.
Behind Senna and Schumacher came two big names from years gone by, with Jim Clark, champion in 1963 and 1965 edging out legendary Argentnian driver Juan Manuel Fangio for third.
Gilles Villeneuve, the only driver of the ten selected for the poll not to win the title was fifth, ahead of Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill - with Alain Prost, Niki Lauda and Jack Brabham filling positions eight to ten.
