Monster has released further footage from its ride swap event between Valentino Rossi and Lewis Hamilton at Valencia earlier this month, including an onboard of Hamilton's maiden outing on a MotoGP bike.
Six-time Formula 1 world champion Hamilton has long professed his interest in motorcycle racing, sampling a Superbike for the first time at Jerez at the end of the 2018 season.
But through Monster, a sponsor he and Mercedes share with Rossi and the Yamaha MotoGP squad, Hamilton was able to make the step up to a MotoGP bike during their ride swap event at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
Hamilton jumped on Yamaha's 2019-spec MotoGP bike to complete running at Valencia, the onboard from which you can watch in the above video.
The test saw Hamilton become the first F1 driver to try his hand on a MotoGP bike since Fernando Alonso in 2015, with the Briton's display being described by nine-time world champion Rossi as "brilliant".
The ride swap also saw Rossi jump in Hamilton's 2017 F1 title-winning Mercedes W08 car, marking the Italian's first running in grand prix machinery since 2010, when he tested a 2008-spec Ferrari.
Both Hamilton and Rossi won plenty of praise from the Yamaha and Mercedes teams, who had all hands on deck to ensure the test went smoothly, giving both racers the chance to fully display their skills.
It is likely to be Hamilton's only off-season motorsport action, but the same cannot be said of Rossi, who took part in the Gulf 12 Hours sports car race just days later, taking class victory and an overall podium.
