DARIO BACK FOR HOMESTEAD OPENER.

Dario Franchitti has been given the go-ahead to race in the opening event of the CART Champcar series in Miami.

The Scot, who fractured his pelvis and suffered brain contusions in a heavy testing accidnt last month, will be able to retake his seat with Team KOOL Green at Homestead after being cleared to race by CART doctor, Steve Olvey.

Ive been in physiothereapy five days a week, and then Ive been training for two hours a day, he reported, Its only been upper body work so far, but last week they gave me permission to work my legs.

The accident and the work since has focused me a lot more. My motivation is sky high at the moment, and I cant wait to get going.

Franchitti is expected to make his return to the cockpit at the Nazareth test next week.
