2025 Valencia MotoGP: Friday Practice LIVE UPDATES

Live coverage of the Practice session from the 2025 Valencia MotoGP, the final round of the season.

The final round of the 2025 MotoGP season, the Valencia MotoGP, gets underway today. Practice is due to start at 15:00 local time.

Marco Bezzecchi enters the finale as the most recent winner after his victory in Portugal last time out, while Francesco Bagnaia is the most recent winner in Valencia back in 2023, and also won last year's final round in Barcelona. They were only 18th and 21st, respectively, in FP1 this morning.

Pedro Acosta and Alex Marquez also come to Valencia with good form, both having been on the podium in the two races. Marquez was sixth in FP1, while Acosta was eighth.

Marc Marquez has two MotoGP victories to his name in Valencia, in 2014 and 2019, but remains absent this weekend and is replaced again by Nicolo Bulega, who was 23rd this morning.

After contesting his final home race last week in Portugal, Miguel Oliveira is set to ride in his final grand prix as a full-time MotoGP rider this weekend in Valencia before he starts testing for WorldSBK later this month with BMW.

Somkiat Chantra also takes on his final premier class grand prix this weekend before his own WorldSBK move with Honda.

Jack Miller was fastest this morning in an FP1 session that ended with a highly unusual order at the top, with Ai Ogura second and HRC test rider Aleix Espargaro third, the Spaniard one of two wildcards this weekend, the other being Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernandez who was 10th-fastest on the V4 M1 this morning.

Di Giannantonio picks out area to improve in 2026

Fabio Di Giannantonio says front feeling is the area for Ducati to improve in 2026.

Speaking on Thursday in Valencia, he explained that the 2025 Desmosedici gives "low" front feeling that makes it hard to force time out of the bike.

Finishing seventh in Practice today, the Italian also feels he has more time to find over one lap but is optimistic about his race pace.

Acosta tops Practice

Final Practice of 2025 is over, Acosta ends fastest from Bezzecchi and Morbidelli.

Alex Marquez fourth, then Ogura and Miller in the top-six. Di Giannantonio, Aldeguer, Mir, and Quartararo compelte the top-10.

Bagnaia the biggest name missing out, but so do Binder, Zarco, and Marini who you might have expected to make it, Raul Fernandez as well misses out in 12th.

15:00

Important lap from Aldeguer gets himself from 16th to eighth.

14:59

Big lap from Ogura, P3 on a 1:29.555. That's pushed Raul Fernandez out.

Bagnaia down to 13thnow as well and not improving.

14:57

Second lap of Bezzecchi's final time attack run was up on Acosta's time after three splits but lost a tenth in the final sector and stays second on a 1:29.293.

14:57

Bagnaia ninth with his latest lap, 1:29.847. Will need more than that, you'd think.

14:56

Bezzecchi P2 with his latest lap, 1:29.476. Big lap from him, was 10th before that.

14:54

Well, despite the report from Aprilia Martin is going back out - not for a time attack, though.

14:52

Bagnaia time attacking with a hard front tyre but pits at the end of his first lap. Only P12 at the moment.

14:52

Martin is done, confirmed by Aprilia to the MotoGP world feed. He's 20th at the moment but has improved by over a second compared to his time this morning.

14:51

Marquez now up to second on his second lap, Di Giannantonio goes third behind him. Aldeguer now out of the top-10.

14:49

Bezzecchi's first time attack only good enough for eight; Alex Marquez behind goes P7 only and 0.7s behind Acosta.

14:47

Morbidelli up to third now, but no one getting near Acosta yet.

14:46

Time attack from Espargaro puts him P5, 1:30.130, although Miller then puts him back a spot as he goes P2 on his first time attack, and into the 1:29s.

Now Acosta pulls the pin - 1:29.240 and top by almost 0.6s.

14:41

Ogura up to ninth with fresh softs. A lot of riders back in the pits now, preparing their late laps to try to get into those 10 Q2 spots.

14:38

Aldeguer up to fifth on the second lap of his soft-soft run.

14:37

23 minutes to go and time attacks are beginning. Di Giannantonio has already done one, but now Aldeguer and Mir are both out now on softs front and rear as well.
