New boy makes Bees debut.

New signing Tomasz Piszcz makes his Coventry debut at Brandon on Thursday night (7.45pm) when the Buildbase Bees take on Elite League table-toppers Poole. The Pole, who started the season in the main body of the Peterborough team, has replaced young American Bryan Yarrow, who failed to make the grade at the top level, and the club hope he will prove to be a solid scorer at reserve.

Bees hit rock bottom - quite literally - at Oxford last Friday when a weakened team was put to the sword and crashed to a 71-21 defeat, their biggest ever in the British League, and restoring some of the lost pride will be high on Thursday's agenda.

Poole top the table despite being far from convincing in recent weeks, and have been run close on their home track on several occasions in the last month, including by the Bees. They edged past Arena-Essex with a last heat 5-1 to win 47-43 in front of the Sky TV cameras on Monday night.

New averages have come into force for June, which means that prolific Poole reserve Antonio Lindback has moved into the main body of the team. Since the Dorset club's last appearance at Brandon in April, Aussie GP ace Ryan Sullivan has replaced five-time World Champion Tony Rickardsson, who has quit British speedway in order to spend more time with his family.

Teenage Dane Morten Risager drops to reserve for the Bees who now look altogether more potent in that department, although joint captain Billy Janniro is still on the injured list, and Andreas Jonsson is no longer able to take one of his rider-replacement outings.
