Wagstaff was also appreciative of the angst felt by the Oxford public: "I can appreciate the concern and frustration that has been felt by both riders and supporters alike. Hopefully now, with this announcement, we can push forward with our final team member who will be announced within the next 24 hrs."
After much behind the scenes activity, Wagstaff was obviously delighted to have secured the two Americans: "Personally I would like to welcome Billy to his first year riding here at Oxford and also to Greg who returns as our number one and captain."
Oxford's Press Launch has been confirmed for Wednesday, March 9th, 2005 and the press call will be at midday followed by an open practice session from 2pm. There will then be a further practice session on Thursday, March 10th, 2005.
The tapes will rise on an exciting 2005 season just one week later when the Oxford Silver Machine will take on the Wolverhampton Wolves in an Air-Tek Challenge meeting. To add extra spice to the evening, two times World Champion Freddie Williams will be the guest of honour.
