Trelawny go down fighting at Workington.

Trelawny played their part in an entertaining Premier League match at Workington on Sunday evening. The meeting featured some excellent racing and the JAG Tigers lost by only four points in a closely contested clash.

The result gives Trelawny an excellent chance of picking up the aggregate bonus in the return match at the Clay Country Moto Parc next month. Chris Harris and Emiliano Sanchez were on top form, including victories over Workington's Grand Prix star Carl Stonehewer. They received excellent support from reserve Simon Phillips.

Trelawny were handicapped by the absence of Pavel Ondrasik, who was in France for the semi-final of the World long track championship. His replacement, Richard Hall, a Conference League rider from Newcastle, managed only two points.

Ondrasik will return to the Trelawny side for Monday's match away to league champions Newcastle. The JAG Tigers return to Cornwall in time for their Premier League match against Arena Essex at the Moto Parc on Tuesday evening (7.30). The Hammers are spearheaded by Sky Sport television expert Kelvin Tatum, who has powerful back up from former Exeter rider Leigh Lanham and long-serving Colin White.
