van den Goobergh quits Supersport Ducati team.

World Supersport rider Jergen van den Goorbergh has quit his Selmat Ducati team, just before he was to take to the grid and race in the third round of the championship at Valencia.

van den Goorbergh qualifyied in last place for the Spanish race, after not taking to the track during the second qualifying session.

He has given no explanation for leaving but the team are reportedly disappointed but will be announing a new rider to take his position within the team soon.
