Price steps down from BTCC seat
Josh Price will not contest the remainder of this season's British Touring Car Championship after stepping down from his Subaru race seat with immediate effect.
Price joined Team BMR's BTCC outfit last season and scored a total of two points finishes during the 2017 campaign before re-signing with the Subaru squad at the beginning of this year.
However, a best finish of 18th has left the 19-year old without a point to his name this season, as the BMR outfit struggled to extract pace from their Subaru Levorg throughout much of the first half of the year.

"I am very grateful to have been given such a great opportunity with BMR to be part of the British Touring Car Championship over the past eighteen months, it really has been a great learning curve," said Price.
"I am looking forward to having the time to focus on my own individual goals and future motorsport career."
Price will remain with the Team BMR stable, with team boss Warren Scott praising the 19-year old's 'passion and determination' during his BTCC tenure.
Scott confirmed BMR will now contest the remainder of the season as a two-car outfit with reigning champion Ashley Sutton and Jason Plato.
"I would like to thank Josh for his time and support he has given to the BMR Academy within the BTCC, he is a very talented driver with a passion and determination which will take him far in his motorsport career," said Scott.
"Josh is currently exploring other avenues and BMR are committed to supporting him in his future plans.
"Whilst we would have liked to continue running the third car until the end of the year, when we looked at all the options it just wasn’t possible. With the lack of drivers available, with the talent and budget to suit, we took the opportunity to sell the TBL early to secure our plan of running two cars next year."
As such, Team BMR have now sold their third TBL license to Power Maxed Racing, in order to replace the Vauxhall squad's TOCA-loaned TBL licenses, with approval from TOCA.
