Omar Szafnauer, Sahara Force India’s Chief Operating Officer, has revealed that the Formula 1 team is in the process of changing its name. Szafnauer said “a couple of potential sponsors said that if we don’t change, then we don’t come on board, I think they just thought if they are going to sponsor a team, they will sponsor a team which is not really tied to one country." - F1 Fansite

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has insisted that he wants Daniel Ricciardo to remain as his teammate. Ricciardo has reportedly been considering a move to rival teams for 2019 and Verstappen said “We have a lot of respect for each other. Even if we give anything to fighting hard with one another on the track, Daniel is a great guy and we have a lot of fun next to the track. Brendon Hartley has revealed he will focus on Formula 1 this season after taking part in a number of motor sports last year. Hartley said “I will still have an association with Porsche but I won’t be doing any races other than Formula 1, which I think is the sensible thing for me to do because I need to be fully focused." - F1 Fansite
Pierre Gasly believes it is possible for drivers to enter the sport without massive financial banking and his rise is proof. The Frenchman said “In the end, we all know it’s not always about performance. I didn’t have any manager, so I was in a way alone, fighting against all the big sharks in this paddock and trying to make my place.
