Fernando Alonso’s eSports racing team confirms line-up for 2019
Fernando Alonso’s eSports racing team has confirmed its driver line-up for its sophomore season competing in the competition.
The two-time Formula 1 world champion became the first grand prix driver to branch out in to eSports when he launched his own team in partnership with Logitech at the 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Entering its second season in eSports, FA Racing has announced the line-up for its new team, which includes British Formula 3 race winner and reigning MRF champion Jamie Chadwick.

Entering its second season in eSports, FA Racing has announced the line-up for its new team, which includes British Formula 3 race winner and reigning MRF champion Jamie Chadwick.
Additional drivers confirmed in Alonso’s eSports team include Spain’s Diego Ruiloba, eSports WTCC champion Alexander Dornieden, Matt Malone, and McLaren Shadow trio Xiang Gao, Ebrahim Almubarak and Kristian Kwietniewski.
The team will contest global eSports competitions such as iRacing, Project Cars 2, Gran Turismo, rFactor 2 and DiRT 2.0, using Logitech G equipment and technologies.
“I”m excited to introduce a team of dedicated, talented drivers to represent my team for the 2019 season,” said Alonso.
“I have hand selected some great young talent who are ready to continue bringing success to the team.
“Logitech G will continue to be our partner, providing us with all the necessary gaming equipment and technologies so we can be fully prepared for our second season of racing and beyond.
“Also during this season, we’ll announce new exciting partnerships and global projects that will expand our team footprint worldwide.”
W Series hopeful Chadwick will combine her 2019 on-track racing programme alongside a foray into eSports.
“Simracing has closed the gap on real formula racing when it comes to strategy, competition and skill.” she explained.
“Joining the team with Alonso, with my other great teammates, will allow me to leverage my behind-the-wheel experience and formula racing skill set to compete in one of the fastest growing, competitive esports categories.
“With the help of my teammates, we are pushing to bring a championship to FA Racing.”
