Simon Phillips turned in a match-winning performance to help Trelawny beat high-flying Isle of Wight in the Premier League at the Clay Country Moto Parc on Wednesday evening.
Phillips scored 10 (paid 12) from his six rides. His form provided excellent support for skipper Chris Harris, who scorched to a 15-point maximum and was the only home rider to beat visiting stars Danny Bird and Adam Shields.

An unfortunate set back for the JAG Tigers was an accident to promising reserve Tom Brown. He was taken to hospital with a back injury after crashing into the fence during his second race.
It was initially announced that Trelawny had won by 48 points to 42. Then Richard Wolff was excluded from third place in the final nominated riders heat after it was discovered that he had not been eligible to take part in the race.
